The frame I am auditing is set by CONCLUSION §3/§4/§7/§8: the wager is "causal/algebraic/entanglement structure precedes metric geometry, true of our Λ>0 universe"; the gate is "derive an algebra-compatible, localized (n,n) pairing from modular data"; this gate is proven (iter-9) equivalent to the reverse-WW witness and to the net-naturality theorem.

2. The decisive distinction — gate of the wager vs problem of physics

The wiki's "single gate" language (ROADMAP: "the single open analytical gate"; CONCLUSION §8) is scoped, and the scope is load-bearing. CONCLUSION §3 already separates three senses of "is a universal theory possible":

  • §3A — a consistent unified GR+QFT framework: POSSIBLE, high confidence. AdS/CFT is an existence proof. This is NOT gated by the carrier problem — it holds whether or not geometry is generated from algebra.
  • §3B — a final substrate: possible but not demonstrably so. Wilsonian tower / emergence.

The carrier problem gates only the wager — the specific bet that geometry is generated (not merely encoded) by causal/algebraic structure. Web-verified (2025-2026): genuinely CONTESTED, no theorem on either side — Usatyuk-Wang-Zhao / Harlow-Usatyuk-Zhao (1-dim per α-sector) vs Antonini et al. (arXiv:2507.10649, "the baby universe is fine") vs Hong Liu (arXiv:2509.14327, observer-free subalgebra framing) vs Engelhardt-Gesteau (no semiclassical baby universe) vs the symmetric-orbifold polynomial-dim II₁ sector (arXiv:2606.04575). 3.4 BH information / Page curve / islands (OP-15, GC-4, GC-5) — INDEPENDENT, external-gated, NOT a wager-gate

Web-verified (2024-2026): the island/QES/Page-curve resolution is established only in AdS / lower-dimensional / semiclassical-plus-replica toy models; for asymptotically-flat, dynamically-formed 4D black holes the bulk mechanism is NOT settled (PMC12191829 review: "unitary evolution in solvable models"; the late-time radiation "is necessarily a macroscopic superposition state"; "perhaps there is still much more to say"). This matches OP-15/GC-4 verbatim and confirms the wiki did not overclaim a resolution. The problem tests whether semiclassical QFT is pushed outside its domain near the horizon — it does not bear on whether modular data generates Lorentzian geometry. Gated by deeper QG input, not reasoning-decidable from the wiki's algebra.

3.5 The 17 clashes (GC-1..GC-17) — none a load-bearing independent gate

By the wiki's own referee verdicts: zero are proven logical inconsistencies; they decompose into domain-mismatches (GC-1,2,3,9,11,14,17), unsolved-but-consistent problems (GC-4,7,10,13), and conceptual tensions (GC-5,6,8,12,15,16). The only clashes that touch the wager directly — GC-1 (background-independence), GC-13 (area-law vs volume-extensive Hilbert space), GC-16 (spacetime-from-entanglement generality) — are exactly what the carrier problem already encodes: GC-1 is the encode-not-generate frontier; GC-13/GC-16 are the Type-III₁/no-factorization root the carrier problem confronts. 4. Adversarial test of the unique-gate claim

I tried to find an INDEPENDENT, reasoning-decidable bottleneck that the carrier-focus neglected. The candidates and why each fails the "neglected reasoning-lever" bar:

  • Measurement — not a wager-gate (Program B), and external-gated. Fails (ii).
  • Λ — not a wager-gate (target/completeness), and the one no-go in the area (Weinberg) is about a different object and is itself being evaded by external proposals. Fails (i) and (ii).
  • OP-50 / BH-info — not wager-gates, and external-gated (community / deeper QG). Fail (ii).
  • The clashes — the wager-relevant ones ARE the carrier problem; the rest are downstream/domain-mismatch. Fail (i).

No candidate is simultaneously (i) a gate of the wager and (ii) a neglected reasoning-decidable lever. The closest thing to an "independent decidable bottleneck" would be a clash that is a proven logical inconsistency forcing the wager false — and the wiki's central result is that none of the 17 is a proven inconsistency. So there is no INDEPENDENT-BOTTLENECK-FOUND.

5. What this adds to the terminal-saturation diagnosis

The iter-11/iter-12 audits established that every verdict-bearing residual is external-gated. This audit closes a complementary gap they did not explicitly address: that no independent obstruction outside the residual list is a neglected reasoning-bottleneck. The bottleneck map is complete — the carrier problem is not just the last open residual on a list, it is the unique reasoning-decidable gate to the wager, with the other great problems of physics sitting beside the wager (independent) rather than gating it. This strengthens the saturation diagnosis rather than perturbing it.

6. Conservative registry implication

NONE that consumes an ID. The verdict, the principal hedge (HYP-CKV-VACUITY-R6, grade and condition), the HYP-ENCODING-SCREEN no-test corollary, and the carrier-convergence count FIVE are all unmoved (this would be the 12th consecutive confirmation if logged). No grade, condition, or count change.

7. Honesty notes / limits of this audit

  • This is a conservative meta-audit, not a new construction. It re-uses the wiki's own classifications and verifies the 2024-2026 status claims it leans on; it does not re-derive the carrier no-go.
  • The "independence" judgments for measurement and Λ are ESTABLISHED (they follow from the §2 Programs-A/B split and the GC-3/GC-6 referee verdicts). The "completeness of the bottleneck map" judgment is INFERENCE — it is an absence-of-neglected-lever claim, defensible but not a theorem.
  • A genuine adversary could argue the §2 Programs-A/B split is itself a modeling choice, and that a future fusion of the two programs could make measurement a wager-gate. The wiki explicitly refuses that fusion (§2, "information names non-interchangeable objects"); if that refusal were ever overturned, this audit would need re-running. I record that as the single contingency, not a current lever.

1. What the finder claimed, and the standard I held it to

The finder submitted UNIQUE-GATE-CONFIRMED: the carrier problem is the unique reasoning-decidable analytical gate to the Program-A wager (geometry-from-algebra); the measurement problem, the cosmological-constant problem, OP-50, the BH-information problem, and the 17 GR-QFT clashes are genuine independent problems of physics but none is both a gate of the wager and a neglected reasoning-decidable lever. One scope correction: the gate is unique to the wager, not to unification.

I held this to the iteration-13 mission constraints (meta-audit, NOT a carrier re-attack; conservative reading; web-verify every program-status claim; do not move verdict/hedge/count; do not consume new IDs) and to the binding state in CONCLUSION §2-§8, OP-2/3/15/26/50, GC-1..17, and the iter-11/iter-12 terminal-saturation audits.

2. Frame audit — is the unique-gate claim even well-posed?

The finder's decisive move is the gate-of-the-wager vs problem-of-physics distinction, and it is correct and load-bearing. CONCLUSION §3 already separates three senses of "possible": §3A (consistent unified framework — POSSIBLE, high-confidence, AdS/CFT an existence proof), §3B (final substrate), §3C (parameter-fixing completeness). The carrier gates only the wager (the encode→generate step), never §3A.
